We store the budget and transaction information you manually enter. Additionally, any receipt you scan is encrypted and stored securely. We collect receipt information which includes amounts spent, total expenses, categories, and dates. This information is for your access only and to help improve our service for you. You can delete those documents and information at any time.

Usage Data

We collect basic app usage information to improve our service, including login times, feature usage patterns, and general analytics. This data is anonymized and used solely for service improvement.

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Payogo service - Ensure the app functions properly and delivers core budgeting features
  • Generate your financial insights and reports - Create personalized spending analytics and budget recommendations
  • Send you important service updates - Notify you of feature updates, security alerts, and account changes

3. Exchange Rate Data

Third-Party API Usage

We use ExchangeRate-API.com and other third-party services to fetch current mid-market exchange rates for display on our platform. When you view exchange rate information, this activity may be logged by our system for analytics and caching purposes. However, we do not share your personal viewing activity or financial data with exchange rate API providers.

Provider Links & Third-Party Services

When you click on a remittance provider link or comparison (such as Wise, TapTap Send, Sendwave, etc.), you are leaving our platform and will be redirected to a third-party website. We do not track, collect, or store any information about your transactions, transfers, or activities with these third-party providers. Each provider has their own privacy policy that governs how they collect and use your data.

No Financial Transaction Data

Payogo does not collect, store, process, or have access to any information about your actual remittance transactions, transfer amounts, recipient details, payment methods, or financial accounts with third-party remittance providers. We only display estimated exchange rates for comparison purposes. All financial transactions occur directly between you and the third-party provider you choose.

Exchange Rate Caching

To reduce API calls and improve performance, we cache exchange rate data for up to 1 hour. Cached rates are stored in our secure database and are only used to display current rate estimates to users.

No Sale of Rate Viewing Data

We do not sell, rent, or share information about which exchange rates you view or which currencies you compare. This data is used solely for internal analytics to improve our service.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your privacy and security are our top priorities. We implement multiple layers of protection:

Data Encryption

All sensitive data, including receipts and financial information, is encrypted both in transit (using TLS 1.3) and at rest (using AES-256 encryption). This ensures that even if data is intercepted, it cannot be read.

Secure Authentication

To enhance your security, we use multi-factor authentication (MFA) or two-factor authentication (2FA) to provide an extra layer of security beyond just a password. We also implement secure session management and automatic logout after periods of inactivity.

Secure Infrastructure

Our servers are hosted in secure data centers with 24/7 monitoring, regular security audits, and automatic backups. We do not share your personal financial data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
